Hi Lars, do you use WAN networks? Which network cards do you use? Also please download this reg file from my SkyDrive: http://cid-128fc518635be2dc.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/MS%20Foren/Registry/WER%5E_Explorer.reg and make a double click on the file to import it. When the Windows Explorer crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service [1] creates a dmp file under C:\Localdumps. Please upload the file to your public Skydrive [2] folder and post the link here. I take at the dump, maybe I can see the cause. Hi, To check the memory, you may run Memory Diagnostics Tool or a third party tool, Memtest86+. If your memory is good, but the issue persists, I would like to suggest you run ShellExView and disable the third party shell software to test the issue. In addition, I also would like to suggest you download the latest version of the network card driver, uninstall the current installed one and reinstall it to check the result. Note: The third-party products discussed here are manufactured by companies that are independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability. Hi André and Arthur, well, memory diagnostic shows no errors. I´ve uninstalled and reinstalled the network driver. The issue still persists! Moreover, i´ve run ShellExView but i´m not 100% sure which 3rd party shell software to deactivate ... Thx, Lars

Hi Lars, The !chkimg extension detects corruption in the images of executable files by comparing them to the copy on a symbol store or other file repository. So, the downloaded file differs in 237 parts from the file found in the dump data! This means the file in the memory is modified. This MUST be a RAM issue. Did you use memtest86+ or which tool did you use? How long have you tested the RAM? Which mainboard/RAM do you use? Which timing does your RAM have? Hi André, well, i`ve used the integrated windows memory diagnostic tool. I´ll try the memtest386+ tool and run it for a couple of hours. Thx! Lars

Change the Timing of the RAM. Have you installed the latest WLAN drivers? Which WLAN device do you use?"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

There is no possibility to change the timing within the BIOS settings. Moreover, it´s a Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Networkadapter with the latest driver. Honestly, i´m very close to reinstall the OS, but this would take around 2 days ... many progs and settings. Is there any possibility to "reinstall" the WWANAPI?? Thx!!

run sfc.exe /scannow from a command prompt (with admin rights). Does it detect corrupt files?"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Does the same crash occur in Safe Mode? Also, what version of Office is installed and are you using the "Groove" or "Sharepoint Workspace" program?

Hello all, i´ve reinstalled Win7 by using an inplace upgrade to the same version. Now it´s working :-) :-) Thanks to all for help!!! Regards, Lars

Well, sfc /scannow is now 100% correct. All my settings have been saved. I think this is a way to fight against corrupted system files :-)
