Expanding C;/ with Unallocated Space on the Left
Is there anything special I need to use with GParted? Or do I just burn it to a CD and resize it? I've read some other posts about the unallocated space being on the left, and they claim it is complex I've also tried using an Ubuntu Live CD to resize it, but it won't let me

Long story short, I somehow managed to get my unallocated space on the left of my Windows 7 partition. I need this space (considering it is 390GB big), and I don't really want to start fresh with a new install. There has got to be some way to expand my hard drive. Can someone help? Thanks

Use a 3rd party tool: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ http://partedmagic.com/ to change the partition sizes. Remember: BACKUP all personal data before doing this."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

I'd just like to say that I fixed the problem. I downloaded GPart, like Andre suggested, burned it as an image to a CD, restarted and booted into it. I then used the slider to expand/move my partition. Then I put my Windows 7 CD back in, and fixed the startup again (because apparently expand/moving it screws up the boot). Thanks!
