Exe file Permission
Dear all, Please help me as i have 2008 and 7 environment My sales team want to access 1 EXE file which is a directory but on user level they can't access that file and i dont want to give them Admin rights. Is there any other way to give admin rights to
that particular file or even a share folder from server. So they can access without promting Admin username and password.
THanks in advance.

Hello,
just add the user and give it the wanted NTFS and Share permissions.
Note that for local access, only NTFS permissions will be applied.
Note also that for remote access, NTFS and Share permissions will combined and you will get the minimum of privileges.

You should be able to right click the file, and go to properties. From there go to the security tab and see who has permission to run the file. if admin only has all accesses, you can add “Everyone” by clicking the edit button,
then the add button from the screen that pops up. The users or groups pops up, type “Everyone” in the box at the bottom, then click ok. When the windows closes, you are back to the permissions window. make certain that “Everyone”
in the top window is selected (highlighted in blue) and then ensure that all the permissions you want for “Everyone” are selected in the bottom window, then click apply and then ok, the window will close, and you will be back to the properties
window. Your new “Everyone” group name should be in the box at the top, if selected, it should show all the permissions related to the group in the bottom window. click apply if available, then ok, and it will close. The job should
be done.
