Exchange Voicemail Integration

So I'm scratching my head here.

I've setup Skype for Business to Exchange 2013 UM, I'm able to dial the extension for Voicemail (In my case, +5998) and it works fine.

I have a PSTN gateway setup that forwards incoming calls to my Skype for Business Extension (+5252), all that works fine, however when I tell the system to send unanswered calls to Voicemail (+5998) I get a message saying "Due to telephone company availability trouble, your call cannot be completed at this time, can you please try your call again later)

Outside PSTN Gateway (192.168.250.251) is a Cisco CME device.

One thing I noticed, there's a ROUTE in the debugs. Does that mean it's trying to reroute the call (when it tries to send it voicemail =+5998?)

What else should I be looking at here?

You want to the Voicemail to be initiated from the CME side and not from the Skype for Business side?

if so consider using the following docs:

I ended up changing the number from +5998 to +5275 and now instead of getting the operator message, now I'm getting my OVA prompt (Please enter your pin to access your mailbox)

However, this is not what I wanted, I wanted it to goto voicemail, not OVA.

I've created another thread in the Exchange forums for this, but feel free to chime in if you know what the problem is.

One thing I have noticed, is shouldn't I have a voicemail icon on my lync client?

The Voice mail icons is within the dial pad section. or you mean on the conversation icon you should see a logo for new voice mail?

I thought your cog at the top right changes to a little voicemail symbol if you have a voicemail.

I just left myself a voicemail another way and nothing changed on my client.

You getting the OVA probably because it is not identifying the destination UM mailbox extension.

Also, it depends how you set up the dial plan on the UM, is it SIP or Extension dialing?

it will show up once you got the voice mail in your inbox.

Figured out what my problem was. I didn't have the correct EUM address in my accounts.

I added the +xxxx Lync extensions and another EUM for the email address and everything started working.

I also made the default EUM to be the email address of the Skype for Business user / Dialplan.
