Exchange Server 2010 UM Auto Attendant No Sound on Polycom Phones.

Hi,

we have integrated exchange server 2010 SP2 UM and Lync Server 2013.

we are using two DID numbers for the integration. One for auto attendant and other for subscriber access.

The configuration was working perfectly for the last two weeks.

suddenly whenever I am trying to reach auto attendant and subscriber access numbers from internally or externally through polycom phones and gsm phones, the call is answering but sound is not coming.

But it is working through Lync 2013 clients without any issues.

I suspect it may be because of UM codec issue, so tried by changing all codecs like mp3, g711 etc. but no luck.

Your support on this case will be highly appreciable.

Thanks,

Santhosh

Hi,

can you check the Event Viewer of the UM server and see if there's any errors coming up?

I have tried by restarting the UM service, Exchange Server & Lync Servers but no luck.

UM auto attendant & Subscriber Access is working fine from Lync Clients and other external phones (mobile & land phones) without any issues.

But still we have problem on internal Polycom End Points. Still audio is not coming even though call is answered by AA.

Its look strange..

Can Lync phone call other Lync users?

Did you change any configuration?

It seems like a network issue. You need to collect the Log file for troubleshooting.

I feel its something to do with network. Can you try adding AA & Subscriber Access as a contact and try calling from phone. Please take a SIP Stack log and also logs from phones and share.

Thanks,

Hi Experts,

Finally I myself resolved the issue.

I have changed the base profile from Generic to Lync immediately it started working.

Now UM integration voice is working perfectly.

Lync client to Polycom phone and vice versa voice is working fine without any issues.

Thank you very much for your support.

Thanks,

Santhosh
