Excel save as pdf hangs when launched through a watch folder

Hi there,

I've configured a watch folder to launch a batch file which launch a .exe file I've written in C++

In this application I launch Excel which open a .XLS document which contains macros.

At the end of the computations there is a macro which save as pdf.

At this point everything hangs and I have to cancel the job I've created for the watch folder.

If I disable the watch folder and I place the starting file inside the watch folder

and I manually launch the .bat file (which usually is launched by the watch folder) everything works perfectly.

I really really hope there will be someone here coming with a solution for me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Have a nice day,

Davide

Hi davide333,

Sorry for delay answer.

I have tried to reproduce the issue, but I am not familiar with the watch folder feature .Is it belonged to the developing field ?

Considering this catalog is concentrated on the Windows 8.1 issue and the case is more likely related to developing ,we can ask for help from our MSDN forum .They are more familiar with the developing and they have more resources to resolve the issues related to the developing  .

"This is something that have to be fixed and it's due to excel. "
If you suspect that is related to the Excel ,we can ask for help from our Office Forum .They are more familar with the Excel issue .

Both of the MSDN Forum and the Office forum are belonged the Microsoft ,however we are concentrated on different fields.

If the Watch Folders you are using are provided through IIS Transform Manager, you will need to post this inquiry at the IIS.NET forums. If you are using Watch Folders provided via a third party product, you will need to consult support for those folders.
