Evoluent Vertical Mouse 4

Hi this topic has been covered numerous times before for Windows 7.

Which should not be an issue anymore as Evoluent has released Windows 7 drivers.

However I am using Windows 8 and no drivers are available.

I had installed the Windows 7 64 bit drivers with no problems until late, now after 8 months of normal usage I am suddenly experiencing the mouse cursor jumping and becoming unresponsive followed by the mouse loosing all power. I'm not sure if an update is to blame here?

Now the mouse which I rely on to ease my RSI has become useless. If I go into control panel view devices and printers I can watch the mouse appearing and vanishing as Windows recognises it, occasionally this is followed by an error message saying the device has malfunctioned. It works perfectly on my other computer running XP. Evoluent has advised me to use the mouse without the manager but this makes no difference. I have tried disabling the USB selective suspend settings in power options to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Hi,

Please update the driver to the latest version. Or you can try to install the old drive with Windows 7 compatible mode.

Furthermore, please refer this article to troubleshoot the compatibility issue:

Hi Leo,

I had taken those steps. I worked this through with Evoluent support and it ended up being a hardware issue and not the drivers. Evoluent were good enough to courier me a replacement which has solved all issues. My wrist is saved!! Thank you all the same.
