So...Windows upgrades itself to 8.1. First I have problems with Google Chrome disappearing, and today I discover that my OKI C9655 cannot print anymore. Thanks!
I kept getting messages about the MP tray having the paper aligned the wrong way, windows had already changed my Word settings to print to Letter and not A4 (must have happened during the upgrade), and when I deleted the printer in order to reinstall it again, it now won't let me reinstall! EVen though it's hardwired into the PC, a Sony Vaio, it refuses to see it, and it will not set it up no matter how many times I go through the set-up procedure. I have downloaded the drivers again, I do not have a disk, and the program's other option - search windows for drivers - either doesn't work or doesn't offer me the drivers that are already installed on the PC. Duh.
This is costing me a LOT of money. I already had to change printers because this PC with Windows 8 refused to co-operate with my old OKI C5850, and now having bought a new OKI that is supposed to be compatible with Windows 8, the new updates have messed with this as well.
I am about to tear out all my hair, so someone please help me.
Thank you
