Hi Community Members... ...not sure if I am in the correct forum... I am just a newbie and learning Event Viewer… In the Help-Files I did something like “Run a task in response to a given event” or in the Event Tree right clicked something “Attach a task to this log” and then got the “Create basic task wizard” … …I now have a “dialog box” that pops-up about 20 times a day on a given event I think… I have deleted my “Custom Views” but this has not worked, I have tried to work it out but can’t right now… May I take this moment to thank all so much for all your help and time with my current dilemma. Open the Task Scheduler, expand the "Task Scheduler Library" node and click the "Event Viewer Tasks" node: search the automatic task you've attached to the event and delete it. Bye.Luigi Bruno - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Award
