Event ID 901 Source ESENT

Hi All,

Anyone knows how to get rid of this event:

svchost (1652) The database cache size maintenance task has taken 60 seconds without completing. This may result in severe performance degradation. Current cache size is 20 buffers above the configured cache limit (300 percent of target). Cache size maintenance evicted 8 buffers, made 71033 flush attempts, and successfully flushed 2 buffers. It has run 5979 times since maintenance was triggered.

Regards,

Shahab.

Hi Shahab,

If it is possible, please post the detailed information of this Event here. This can help us to get more information to troubleshoot this issue.

Since this issue is related to the cache, we can try to use the diskcleanup tool to clean the caches  to have a check.
There is another possibility that the registry database has been corrupted. We can try to create a new account and login with it to have a check.
Here is a similar symptom for reference:
Windows 8 - The configuration registry database is corrupt for C:\Users\Mike\ntuser.dat
