Event ID 1001 when attempting to delete a file or folder.
Hi out there. Trying to delete a file results in a popup: "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."and event id 1001. Clicking the link says it is SQLite that needs updating - why should this affect deleting a file? If I have to update it, where should I store it?Answers gratefully received - thanks.1 person got this answerI do too

Gerry: thanks for concurring with what I'd just decided to do. I replaced the version of SQLite3,dll with the latest, and rebooted - that has done the trick. I suspect this has something to do with Genie Timeline, which installed a recent, but not the latest, version of SQLite3.dll - I installed this a few days ago, but have not configured it yet (it does run in the background monitoring changes to certain files etc.) as my external disk has just developed a fault and is being replaced! It must be monitoring the files I'm trying to delete, and wants to check if they've been backed-up, hence the use of SQLite. My wife actually reminded me of this installation, so I'm very grateful to her. Thanks for your help, especially as I can see you've been very busy trying to help others.Merry Christmas.NotSmartinMartin.
