Event ID: 2505 When trying to access network share over VPN
OK, this is a good one. I have an end user who works from home and runs Vista Ultimate w/ SP2. She establishes a VPN connection (using the native PPTP client built into Vista) to our network via a Windows 2K box that has RRAS configured. At some point in the last 6 weeks she can no longer access any network share that she tries to UNC into. She gets prompted for a a user name and password. Typing the correct domain\user name and password does not work. It registers the 2505 error on the Vista box. I have done some prelimnary reserach but most KB artiocles points to server side issues with file and print sharing confiuratiuons and best I can tell there are no issues on the server side. No other remotre user is having this problem. Any suggestions. Thanks Jimmy Holmes
