Establishing Trust with Windows 8

I am trying "trust this pc" and I'm hitting a wall. After going into the Settings and clicking "Trust this PC" It brings me to my Outlook.com login screen. I login and get this message "Visit https://account.live.com/trustdevice on Internet Explorer from the Windows 8 device you would like to trust."

When I go to that address I get the exact same screen.  I have no where else to go.

Ideas?

Same here trying to make my Surface pro trusted PC for last month... no success.

Any solution to the problem?

Seems it is not related to the account coz I see that my desktop become not trusted and make it trusted in a minute...

Seems something wrong with my Surfce Pro.

Same problem here - had it from the very beginning when I got my Razer Blade Pro with Windows 8 back in August. I tried changing my password, but I still keep getting redirected to the same error even though I'm using Internet Explorer 10 with default settings.

How do you verify your account if going to this address: https://account.live.com/trustdevice loops? Please give some better advice on how to do this rather than just vagueness.

What worked for me was going into profile settings for MS ID and removing all trusted devices, signed out, restarted computer, and trusted PC again. And when it did say to go to https://account.live.com/trustdevice again but I then noticed it said in Internet Explorer *I was using Chrome* once I used IE it allowed me to sync devices again and trusted PC. I dont know if all this is necessary but it worked for me in the end. I hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Logging into the live account, and going to the trusted device section just gives me an option to remove devices, or learn about it.

Going to the account.URL doesn't nothing.

Clicking "Trust thie PC" in Windows 8 just opens IE to the same useless webpage.

Ok.....go to Control panel - System and security - Action centre. Under the "security"option, just below "Trust this pc, it should say "View Microsoft account settings." Click on that, and it takes you to your Microsoft account.

Click on "Security and password", and directly across from "Billing" there will be an email address. To the right of that, in BLUE it should say Remove, and below that it should say trust this PC.

Click on trust this pc and it will direct you to enter the last 4 digits of your mobile or whatever you choose. A code will be sent to your mobile or whatever, enter the 4 digit number and that should be that....

This worked on Windows 8, but i haven't tried 8.1.

Hope this helps guys.....

What you suggested isn't working because under where it says remove there isn't an option that says "Trust this PC"

I'm having the same problem. For 2 consecutive days, I've been asked to "turst this PC" and I'm getting nowhere. In the meantime, my PC is still not "trusted" yet.
