When trying to add a printer from a new Win 7 enterprise x64 pc, I receive the following error when trying to add a Canon printer from a Win server 2008 R2 print server (Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e). I am able to add various other model printers that are on the same print server. After reviewing various forums on this issue, I found a hotfix from Microsoft-- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982728/en-us , however when this is run, I get an error stating this update is not applicable to your computer. I don't understand as this hotfix pages references my pc OS as applicable. How can I resolve this print issue as we are preparing to deply over 150 new Win 7 pc's and will need this printer loaded?
