Error setting up ICS with Windows XP host and Windows 98SE client
Hello, I am attempting to setup Internet Connection Sharing between a Windows XP hostand a Windows 98SE client on my home network. I have run the Network Setup Wizard on thehost and then created the network setup disk to run on the client. After the Networksetup program finishes it asks me to remove any disks and click ok to restart. After the restart I get an error popup: An error occured loading "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\upnp.dll"When I click on ok a new error message appears: Error loading "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\hnetwiz.dll"It seems like the network wizard does not finish installing and I cannot access the Internet from the client. The network is connected and I can ping accross the link from both host and client.Any help offered will be appreciated.Thank you 1 person needs an answerI do too

HiDon't run Wizards, configure the Network manually.Look at this page and chose the manual approach, http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/--------BTW, the page above was written by MVP/Moderator Steve Winograd at the time that most people did not even know that the Internet exists.Jack-MVP Windows Networking.
