Error screen before logon
I have recently bought an Asus laptop with Vista and I set it up to log on using fingerprints with the software provided by Asus. The problem is that I get an error screen now before logging on that says "The system administrator disabled this authentication method". There is no problem with that, but it bothers me every time I turn on or I restart my computer. I disabled the option "Do not require Ctrl+Alt+Del" and i still getitbut without getting the "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del" screen. I also noticed that depite this fact whenI log offI get the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen and the error screen does not appear. If you know how I could get rid of it, please respond. Thank you.

Hi,If you choose to log on with a password and without the fingerprint, do you still get the error?

Hi, this issue can be caused by a third party credential provider. You can disable a third party credential provider in the registry without deleting the key. Each provider on the system is specified by a subkey whose name is the provider's CLSID under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers. To disable the provider add a REG_DWORD value "Disabled"=1 to the CLSID subkey. The provider will be disabled on the next session creation. Note: Sessions are created when you log off, switch users, or reboot.Alternatively, you can reboot into Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, LogonUI will only load the built-in username/password provider. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your answers. I sorted things out by unchecking an option in the Asus Security Protect Manager program called "Enforce ASUS Security Protect Manager logon to Windows".
