This power is supplied by a battery, typically a "coin cell" type:http://support.oslri.net/mbattery.htmlAfter a few years, this battery needs replacing and you should replace it.For help with directions on replacing your battery, you'll need to identify the make and model of your computer.

What LemP is saying,is, it is the CMOS battery that runs your motherboard (It's BIOS/Time/etc).Refer to your Manual (if you have one), to understand WHAT it is, and WHERE it is located...on your motherboard. The one you have is running out of power, possibly due to old age. Needs replacing. If you are confident enough to do it yourself, do so.If this too much for you, take computer-box to your local computer-store, ask them to REPLACE it for you.
