Error in User Privileges on First Log-in to Domain
Hello, I work at a school and we are using laptops with Win 7 installed for our students. The student use the same username and password on each machine to authenticate to a domain only, and do not have any way to log in to the local machine. The student account on the laptops have very limited privileges -- no right clicking, no installation privileges, etc... However, my question is this: when students log in the first time on, it seems that the students have full privileges to browse the network, install programs, and do all that good stuff. This is obviously not OK in a networked environment. However, if a student logs out and then logs in again, he has no privileges. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? If so, I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance. Jim

Hi Thanks for the post! Due to the complex situation, please provide more information: a. Does every account have the privilege on the first logon? Before or after join the domain? b. How do you join the domain? Use which account?
