Error connecting to a VPN Connection
I'm trying to set up a VPN connection between my laptop and my home computer. I have gone through all the stuff to allow connections to this computer (so that there is a file in "Network Connections" that says "Incoming Connections" I have "Set up a new connection or network" on my laptop and put my IPv4 address in and put my User name and Password. Every time I press connect, it will go through all the stuff "verifying user name and password...." "Connecting to xxx.xx.x.x", but then it will come up with an error saying "Connection failed with error 720" "A connection to the remote computer could not be established. You might need to change the network settings for this connection." I've triple checked that I've put the correct user name, password, ip address. At one point it did come up with PPP adapter RAS <Dial In> on my home computer, and it let me choose between home, workplace or public network, but still wouldn't let me connect on my laptop. All this was done at home on the same network Both computers are running windows 7 Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!! Thanks Ben

Hi, Make sure that TCP/IP is installed and enabled for this type of connection. Make sure that all protocols needed to establish this type of connection are installed. Note: please disable firewall on both sides. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
