Error code Ox490 and two boot loaders
I believe this problem started after a partition screw-up whcih caused this Seagate 1TB drive with Win 7 professional not to clean boot. OS version 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 The last error message was system config changes error code Ox490. After using "repair the computer" without success, going back to an ealier restore point, nothing has worked. I now have two boot loaders and obviously in conflict. How can I edit these so I can reboot cleanly. At the command prompt when enteredC:\>BCDEDIT I got the following results: C:\>BCDEDIT Windows Boot Manager identifier <bootmgr> device partition=C: path \bootmgr description Windows Boot Mgr locale en-US inherit <globalsettings> default <current> resumeobject <a9619044-77dc-11df-8ae4-c916049a6ed9> displayorder <current> <a9619044-77dc-11df-8ae4-c916049a6ed9> toolsdisplayorder <memdiag> timeout 30 Windows Boot Loader identifier <current> device partition=C: path \Windows\system32\winload.exe description Windows 7 locale en-US inherit <bootloadersettings> recoverysequence <a9619044-77dc-11df-8ae4-c916049a6ed9> recoveryenabled Yes osdevice partition=C: systemroot \Windows resumeobject <a9619044-77dc-11df-8ae4-c916049a6ed9> nx OptIn Windows Boot Loader identifier <a9619044-77dc-11df-8ae4-c916049a6ed9> device unknown path \Windows\system32\winload.exe description Windows 7 professional (recovered) locale en-US osdevice unknown systemroot \Windows
