I installed the latest version of windows live (2009) and now can not log onto windows messenger. I was using the previous version of vindows messenger with no problems.The error signiture: AppName: wlcomm.exe AppVer: 14.0.8064.206 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512 Offset: 0001b1faI have tried various fixes starting in messenger itself: Tools, Options, Connections (Hit refresh) no connection. (Hit connection trouble shooter) states no problem(Hit advanced settings) TCP test it states it a sucessThe proxy server is blank.I am using Virgin media as my internet providerWindows firewall has messenger accepted.PCguard firewall has windows messenger accepted.I am using a router but the firewall is swithed offWhen i look in windows explorer it states i do not have a proxy serverAny help would be very much appreciated. I do have an error log but its a bit big to post into here.

Hi, Thank you for your post. Regarding the error, you can remove the Windows Live Messenger completely and reinstall it to see if it works.
