Error code 28. it's not picking up my ethernet adaptor thingy for my ethernet cable. I need to get online to get the driver. i can't get online because it's not picking up my adaptor or what ever. see my problem

Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Managerlocate the device showing the exclamation mark, rt click, properties, Driver, check the driver date if the date is a recent date try roll back the driverIf the driver is an old driver date, uninstall the device & rebbot, see if that helpsFailing that it could mean the lan device has failed

thats the thing is i just installed the windows xp from linux because of school.
