RDIS didn't mention if he indeed used partition D for back-up, or an external drive.

Hi, If you backup your files to a none NTFS volume, you may encounter the error code 0x81000032 . To resolve this, please take the following steps: Step 1. Change the drive letter and drive name. 1) Click Start and type: diskmgmt.msc in the Search box. 2) Click on the diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. 3) Right Click the FAT32 volume and select “ Change Drive Letter and Paths”. 4) Assign a new letter to the volume. Example: L. 5) Right click the volume and click Properties. 6) Name it “System”. Step 2. Convert FAT32 to NTFS. 1) Click Start and type: CMD. 2) Right click on the CMD and click “Run as Administrator”. 3) Type the following command: Convert L: /fs: ntfs 4) When asked to give the volume name, type in “System”. Then backup your files again to see if the issue persists. Best Regards Dale

Best Regards Dale This is all very nice, but RDIS's volume D is too small to house a shadow volume copy, so, either the D-partition needs to be extended, or he/she needs to add an extra disk (preferably big enough to accomodate a shadow volume copy). How to extend a partition under Windows 7, can be found here .
