Hi,
I have checked out the answers in the forums but still can't get a backup to run. I have reformated the hard drive NTFS and have plenty of space. I have got event logs but cannot read the contents.
I have recentely downloaded and enabled windows virtual pc but it doesn't seem to achieve anything ( trying to get XP games to run), could this be the problem?

1. What have you tried to reach normal function?
2. Check services
3. Check Event logs
4. Run POWERCFG -H OFF from elevated command.

Hi,
Following yet another major crash I have found out that one of my hard drives were faulty and I believe through tril and error that I also had a defective SATA cable.
Changed them both out and at the moment all's working well.
Thank you for you kind help.
I am also trying unsuccesfully to load windows XP Prof 64 Bit and to have another bood system via BCD . It keeps blue screening just before launch .
I have tried disconnecting all the drives and reformating the Commos but .....
Could the Windows XP disc be faulty?
Regards
Martyn
