Hello Friends,

I seem to have the problem where I am unable to bypass, this update as every time i go to do it, I get this error message.

I have tried to go into all types of the safe modes but it wants to attempt to update it every time before the login screen.

I took the hard drive out and pluged it into my laptop and im able to browse the files as if it was an external hard drive.

My question is, what file can i delete or replace that will keep it from attempting to update before logging in as i do not feel like moving important files to another hard drive, wipe then rewrite the os. I searched the file wiashext.dll and multiple files with the same name come up, and non of them have been modified since 2014. so im thinking that there is a different file that i need to replace/ delete.

EDIT: Also, sometimes it will display Fatal error instead of just error.

I have exactly the same problem and error. I have been able to use the system restore before the latest MS update was applied and that allowed me to work normally. 

Use System Restore to restore your PC to an earlier point in time. To do this, follow these steps:

• Turn your PC off by pressing the power button, and then turn your PC back on by pressing the button again.

  • Wait for the Automatic Repair screen to appear.

    Note

    If this screen doesn't appear, repeat step 1a until Automatic Repair appears.

  • Next to the System Restore option, tap or click Restore. 

Suspecting a virus I have done a full scan with 0 results yesterday. Overnight the system did the automatic update again resulting exactly with the above error. 

I have now 12 updates pending restart - one of which I suspect causes the problem.
