Error Message in Updating Windows 7
Hi There Ive installed a trial version of Windows 7 Build 7000 64Bits at my computer at home, and now, everytime I try to update, it launches a code error message and it doesnt do any update!!! ( Update error Code8000FFFF ) Ive tried other forums but it was useless... Can you help me... I was really enjoing this version of Windows

Try searching for 8000FFFF in TechMet (there should be a search box at the top of this page).The first one I found was Error when you download updates using Windows Update or Microsoft ... .Searching Microsoft Support or the Forums would yield somewhat different results.Read each "hit" that seems appropriate, and try some of the suggestions.

First off, it's not a trial version - that would imply a finished product. This is a beta. As such, you don't exactly get the same expectations of quality. There will be bugs in a beta - some of them can be fairly big andugly... There's another thread concerning this error message found here. The long and the short of it - the solution, for the moment, would be to do an "in place upgrade" - that is, you insert the DVD, you do an "upgrade" installation on top of your existing Windows 7 installation. Your existing data and files will be kept, but this has the effect of refreshing the files, and the related registry entries and will allow you to do regular Windows Updates again.
