Error Code : 0x80070035 : The Network Path was not found. Error on W2K8 R2 SP1 when trying to connect to share on W2K3 SP2
I am trying to mount a share from a W2K3 SP 2 to a W2K8 R2 SP1 . I have gone through all the posts that deal with this error and I have tried most of the suggestions but to no avail . The W2K3 Server is on a domain while the W2K8 server is not however there are appropriate DNS entries on the DNS server so both servers can resolve each other's names. I have verified that I can browse shares on the W2K8 Server from the W2K3 so name resolution and network connectivity works as expected however the reverse fails consistently. I have also pinged , tracerted , RDPed from the W2K8 server to the W2K3 server using name and IP. I have turned on Computer Browser , Workstation , server , Network Discovery related services , turned off Windows Firewall and password protected sharing. Also removed the DNS entries in the TCP / IP properties , restarted and put them back in . I have also run Portqry -n <servername> -e 139 and Portqry -n <servername> -e 445 on both servers where <servername> is the name of the other server and I get results that state that the service is listening on both sides . When I try to browse the network on the W2K8 server , I cannot see any other servers in the domain other than the name servers that I listed in the DNS settings . I would greatly appreciate any help

I had to uninstall and reinstall Client for Microsoft Networks and after that I had to take out the DNS entries , restart the server and add them back in and that resolved my issue . After the issue was fixed , I went back to all the services that I had turned on and found out that with the exception of the Windows Firewall being turned off , every one of those services and settings are required
