Hi, If the suggestions on the above KB does not work, try starting the services as below:Start services ============ 1. Click the Start Button, type "services.msc" (without quotes) in Start Search box, and press Enter. 2. Double click the service " Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service". 3. Click on the "General" tab; make sure the "Startup Type" is "Automatic" or "Manual". Then please click the "Start" button under "Service Status" to start the service. 4. Click OK. 5. Repeat the above step for Telephony service. If it does not work, try new account: Create a new user account ==================== 1. Click the Start Button, type User Accounts in the start search pane and press Enter. 2. Click Manage user accounts. 3. Click Create a new account, and type the name. 4. Choose account type as Computer administrator. 5. Click Create Account. 6. Log off and log on with the new account. Vivian Xing - MSFT

there can be no update because in order to open this thread i had to fix the problem by upgrading windows and now i have this problem because i upgraded:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproinstall/thread/6a7f81f9-fa6d-45cd-8eab-bf266b39a5a7/and i really don't understand why i always have 711 i had this problem before but now it's a diffrent computer but it still happen.so basicly i have to say that i'm not very impressed from windows 7 at this moment but i have xp on dual boot and i have image of bote OS so worse casescenario i'll use it but i still don't like the fact that a brand new clean installed operating system has major errors like 711 occuer after a very short time.

Hi, Sorry to hear that the issue persists. I would like to confirm if the issue still persists after the In-place upgrade. It can be a network problem, you can try removing and reinstalling the network card: Reinstall driver ============== 1. Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter. 2. Double click to expand "network adaptors". 3. Right click your network card and click Uninstall. 4. Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK. 5. Restart the computerVivian Xing - MSFT
