Error 16: Inconsistent Filesystem Structure
I am running 64bit win7 on my Dell Precision M6300 laptop and I rebooted recently to a Error 16: Inconsistent Filesystem Structure. I know this is a linux error and have run the repair disc several times and no fix. Has anyone else ran into this issue and know how to fix this? I have important data on the HDD that I do not want to recreate otherwise I would have just did a clean install. Any help would be appreciated!

Error 16: Inconsistent Filesystem Structure. I know this is a linux error No i do not run another linux environment alongside my win7. maybe it didn't occur to Technocrate to ask. why are you getting a unix/grub error with your standalone Win7 installation? I have been asking myself that ever since I received the error...there isn't any programs that I had on there that is outside the norm. I don't use that computer for anything but Chrome and WoW. I was able to get a x64 repair disc and am attempting a system restore. the only thing it is showing for a restore point is 3 days ago (when the problem occurred) and Adobe Reader was installed. Will update if this works. @Solution_Provider, yes i read that post already. I have been googling every possible keyword string for my specific error and only coming up with linux issues and nothing about why a win7 load would be pulling this error. Thanks for the try though

Hi, You may check the hard disks for error first. I also would like to suggest you test the issue in Clean Boot to check if any third party software conflicts. If the issue persists, would you please post the screenshot of the symptom for analyzing? For the detailed steps, please refer to the following link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 Regards, Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. que tal! a mi me sucedio esto en un arranque dual, booteaba Debian en un disco duro esclavo y Win XP en un disco duro maestro. Luego, estuve en el BIOS Setup y en algun momento elegi "iniciar con la ultima configuracion conocida" y entonces pude arrancar XP. error 16:inconsistent filesystem structure
