Error 1075 No Firewall, No System Info
I recently upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP Pro. I have no Firewall, cannot access System Information. Under Services, could not start Security Center, System Even Notification with error 1075 stating that the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.I noticed that if I look at Properties of a service (such as Security Center), there is the General Tab, Log On Tab, Recovery Tab, but there is no Dependency Tab on any that I looked at.Please help if you can to get my Security Center/Firewall and/or System Information working. Thanks a million!1 person needs an answerI do too

I'm not sure I understand your problem, but try this: (it can't hurt to just look)Start \ All Programs \ Accessories \ System Tools \ Security CenterIf you click on Security Center, does it open?RosiePlease post back to this thread with results or if you need more assistance. Yes, I can open Security Center, but when I click on Firewall, it says Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service? When I click yes, it cannot start the service. If I go directly to Administrative Tools and Services to start ICS, it gives the error 1075 The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion. The services Remote Procedure Call and Event Log and Error Reporting Service are started, but I can't get anything in Event Viewer under Security to show information. Also, System Information does not work. Help?
