Error 0x800C013B (cannot send email) using Outlook Express in XP.  Also, all sent mail is missing.
Microsoft says find & rename "folders.dbx". Searched for "folders.dbx" on C,D & F hard drives but nothing turned up. What now?

Hi Jill, Thanks for posting. Please do the following to resolve this issue. 1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders. 2. Type Sent Items.dbx in the Named box. 3. Now you will need to Click primary hard disk (usually drive C) in the Look In box, and then click Find Now. 4. Right-click the Sent Items.dbx file, and then click Rename. 5. Next click OK after typing Sent Items.old. 6. Finally, Restart Outlook Express. This action automatically creates a new Sent Items.dbx file. Hope this helps!Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST Microsoft Answers Support Engineer Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
