Error 0x80070035 when trying to access other computers in the network
When trying to access another computer in Network, a box opens saying that 'Windows could not access \\Computer'If I press diagnose, it can't fix it and says something about error 234The sharing worked around a week ago and stopped working around the time I tried (and failed multiple times) to install Comodo Firewall and Threatfire (successfully installed and working)I just noticed it a few days ago when printing wouldn't work. From the other computers in the network, the sharing works fine. The sharing also works when booted into safemode so that means its some kind of software/driver issue?

Yes. Odds are the 3rd party firewall is the issue, as safemode will preventmost add-on software from running, your timing is right, and we see issues all the time with networking problems caused by third party firewalls (especially ones that are running on a beta OS). If you uninstall this software, does your issue stop happening?Ned Pyle [MSFT] - MS Enterprise Platforms Support - Beta Team

The firewall is currently uninstalled as it would not install the driver it needed correctly. I also used a batch tool someone made to remove all remains that may have been left behind. System Restore is not an option as there is not a restore point that will go back far enough without removing a bunch of programs and files I want.

I was speaking of the other application you said was installed, threatfire. It is AV software, which means it is also a firewall. Is that still installed and running? You can also try using this technique here to narrow down which application it is. It is more granular than safemode:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/950093Ned Pyle [MSFT] - MS Enterprise Platforms Support - Beta Team

It was Threatfire I believe, I uninstalled Threatfire and A-squared(which I installed after the problem) rebooted, and the problem went away. Threatfire is a good program, so I'll see if I can find a work around.

I have the same issue with Threatfire. It only seems to break my mapped drives. I can still ping the machine by both IP and host name but cannot map new drives or reconnect old ones until Threatfire is uninstalled. I emailed PCtools and got back a response that basically they aren't working much on it until they get the RTM from MS and also I was told no beta for Win7 was available for me to mess with. Really like the new Threatfire so I hope they get this figured out soon. I will post back if I can come up with a workaround.

Still no fix for the Threatfire issue. I have on the other hand gone to trying out Drive Sentry and really really like it. The free version has everything included but you have to manually grab updates. The pay version if bought through the program is only $10 and will trickle updates constantly which to me is worth $10. Very nice security app, I may just give up on threatfire now.

Have given up on TF. Bought DriveSentry and have gone exclusively to it. Really like it and it's very light on resources. Like TF though so will definitely grab it again once this is fixed.
