Error 0x00000005 Access is denied for printer using admin account.
Please help! A little info to get this issue resolved: using an administrator account, Windows 7, 64Bit. Approx. 6 laptops connected together with a RAID and printer that needs sharing capabilites, no internet connectivity allowed. When I select the printer properties or any part of this printer I get an "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000005). Access denied". I have tried to become the owner and again I get an error message. I am not able to remove device ether. Please let me know if there is any other information that I need to add to get some help with this issue. i cant find much help online.

Hi. U need to share the printer or u have a shared printer and i have to manage them? Check the Security tab from Printer with the local admin and try to give access the specific user. Use local admin account or a Network admin access to give this. Let me know for more results ..I want to be a MVP! | Computer Technician - MCITP Enterprise Administrator 2008

Thank you for the reply, this issue has me stuck and i cant find the right answer to fix it. I am the local admin. I have even tried to log in as the computers admin account and i get the same error message. I cannot open the properties of this printer therefore I cannot access the Security Tab. The computer is configuration is considered sharing because the 5 laptops are hard wired together with a RAID and then that is hard wired to the printer. No wireless or internet connectivity allowed. So trouble shooting will not work in this case (I have tried anyways). Drivers are updated and 4/5 laptops can print so I know it has something to do with this computer. I am new to the IA/sysadmin field, so please be kind.
