Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)) but I've tried everything else.
Exact text of error message: Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Users\Gatorbob62\Saved Games. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)) I do not play games, but have deleted some recently. I am backing up to a Hitachi external HD with plenty of space which I have done successfully plenty of times in the past. (hts545025b9a300) Win 7, 64-bit. I tried: kb/976972 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/bff71aac-c78e-42bd-a959-116019c93478 and I just ran sfc/scannow Do I need to delete my windows backup logs and start over because I recently deleted the games? (I was following some instructions somewhere on speeding up my boot time). Let me know what you can do or what else you need. Thank you, Robert

Hi, According to the error message, this issue is occurred due to some files in the Saved Games get lost or corrupted. The troubleshooting process may be a little complicated. First of all, please kindly check if any information in the following article will help: Error code 0x8100002F and or error code 0x80070002 when you back up files in Windows 7 In the meantime, I would like to let you know that the Saved Games folder contains game temporary files and some game settings. If you do not play games and do not need this files, you can exclude this folder from backup: 1 Input “Backup and Restore” in Search box and press Enter 2 Click “Set up backup” 3 Select the drive where you want to save your backup then click “Next” 4 Select “Let me choose” then click “next” 5 Choose which folders you want to backup, remove the option on C:\Users\Gatorbob62\Saved Games then click “Next” 6 Click “Save settings and run backup” Hope it helps.
