Erratic wireless performance after waking up from sleep
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium version 6.1.7600. My network adapter is Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n, and I'm using an HP Pavilion dm4. Usually, when I wake up the computer, the wifi has trouble connecting despite the presence of a strong connection. I can
cajole it into working by disconnecting and reconnecting until I get an error; when I do, I click the troubleshooter, hoping to see Resolving Problems. When I see that, it says it has reset the wireless network adapter, and then wifi seems to work normally.
Any ideas? It's annoying to have to do this almost every time I come back from sleep. Thanks.
Oh, and I've exported the information that gets dumped after the adapter is reset. Not sure how much of it would be useful.

hibernate is sometimes problematic with networks.
the drivers for the wi-fi are the problem
check with HP for updated drivers
My MVP is for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 IT, and I am getting increasingly good with Visual Studio.

My apologies for the delay; I was giving it a try for a few days. It doesn't look like this quite did the trick, particularly when I switch networks. Besides, I only saw this option under Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter, and not under my Broadcom
device. That one just has an Advanced tab with a bunch of options (Afterburner, AP Compatibility Mode, etc.).
I appreciate the help so far!
