When using sysprep with " Enter System Audit Mode" in a windows 8 installation. the laptop restarts and ends up in a loop.

The message during start-up is "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation."

After that, the installation restarts. I'm using a HP8770w laptop.

Can you pls post the content of C:\Windows\Panther\setuperr.log here?

Strangly enough, the setuperr.log file remains empty.

Only the setup.etl file has changed in the last 2 weeks since I installed Windows 8.

I've also read about the error log, and about removing the laptop out of the domain before using sysprep. mayby thats the next thing I can try.

Do you have any other suggestions.
