Enable blocked startup programs
I'd love to, only the button is greyed out. Of course the help and support, having been written by MS, tells you how to get to the screen you're already looking at. Any clues why this would be greyed out? Searching leads me to such gems as 'Unable to install SQL server', since they only post your personal information through to the search site, not the context of your actual search. Separate question but I'm not going to double post since I expect zero response: Windows Update Error Code 80026455 anyone? Wish they'd stop handing out codes and force the coders to write real error messages. Or at least that the guy in charge of allocating the codes would publish his table. Another chance for me to see why I won't give you guys a dime for Vista. Poor client got really shafted by Compaq right there - it's a Celery with half a gig and 8MBon-board graphics. One of the most unpleasant machines to use/watch boot (same thing thanks to search indexing)I have ever seen.:-)

Hi Freqy, I suggest you take look at the following thread first: How to authorize a startup program so it is not blocked? http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1750796&SiteID=17 You can also check the following third party site on this topic: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html Hope this helps!

Sorry Sean, I was looking for a solution from Microsoft not something that simply works around it - just like the OP in the thread you've linked. Aaron Oxford - Remember you paid money for this!
