In OCS R2, you can configure CWA ( Communicator Web Access) for IM. You cannot integrate OWA for OCS R2.

We already Enabled CWA and its working perfectly fine. Would like to enable instant messaging in OWA with our current infrastructure. Already installed certificate, assigned thumb print and modified Web config file in MBX servers but still not working.

Infratucture:

OCSr2 front end servers

Exchange 2013 servers(3 CAS & 2 MBX)

Hi Mano963,

I have not seen this scenario before and since OCS 2007 R2 support has ended, Microsoft does not state such information in any Official Documentation.

Its recommended to upgrade your OCS Server to Lync Server which is 100% supported integrating with Exchange Server 2013.

In addition, I found an article which describes how to Integrate OCS 2007 R2 with Exchange Server 2010 SP1 OWA, you may take a look at it.

If it still does not work, I would suggest contact Microsoft to confirm if this scenario is supported. For a complete list of Microsoft Customer Support Services telephone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft website:
