That sounds suspicious. While there is a Safe Mode, I don't recall hearing anything about an Windows XPEmergency Mode. What brand Virus Scanner are your running? If you don't have antivirus, you can get free Anti-Virus from Microsoft here:http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/It seems to run pretty good for being free :-)

It may be a Safe Mode as my laptop is from Poland and all was in polish. How do I get out of that?

Not sure. If you speak a Slavick Language then you might try posting:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/cs-CZ/category/windowsxpor here:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/ru-RU/category/windowsxpI don't think there is a Polish Windows XP Forum, but someone here may correct me.If you don't speak any form of Slavick, then I would recommend that you get a version of MS Windows that is more suited to your country of residece. Windows 7 Home Premium (localized to your country) seems to be the best overall OS available today.Lastly, assuming "Emergency Mode" really is just Safe Mode, then you might look at:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpinstall/thread/ed3e0e58-14d5-4116-97d2-44d4532a72bf
