Email Problem: Error 550 - 0x800CCC69 - Message rejected due to sender IP reputation
HiI have a problem running Outlook Express in WinXP SP3. I can receive, but not send email I receive the following error message when sending email:Error 550 - 0x800CCC69 - Message rejected due to sender IP reputation (or words to that effect, at least)The impression I get from other posts on the forum is that this error usually occurs when there is a suspicion that an email account is being used to send junk mail, but I have spoken to our ISP and email provider (this does not relate to a Hotmail address) and they have said there is no problem from their point of view, and it must be something to do with OE. We have also checked all the account settings with the ISP and that is all fine. Can anyone offer any help?Thanks1 person needs an answerI do too

That error message is coming from your ISP. They are refusing to relay mail. Unless you are not connected to your ISP directly, IOW sending from another address through your ISP, they have blocked you.Call their tech service back and ask to speak to a tier 2 tech.P.S. When an error message in involved, please copy/paste it into your post. Exact wording can make a difference.Bruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
