Easy way to prevent IMs popups during a meeting
I have an executive that would like an easy way to prevent IMs from poping up during a meeting. As far as I can tell, there isn't a checkbox allowing us to disable desktop alerts (popups) while in a meeting.
Outlook allows you to do this, it would be nice if Lync did the same.

do not disturb.

You can achieve this by setting your Lync status to "Do Not Disturb" when you're in a meeting. This will stop Lync from displaying alerts whilst your presence is set to this state.

Hi there,
In addition, to turn off all notifications from everyone when your status is Do Not Disturb, click the Options button, click Alerts,
and then click Do not display alerts.

Hi,
The 'Do not display alerts' option only seems to work when my status is set to 'Do Not Disturb'. Is there a way to prevent notification alerts when my status is online/away/busy?
Thanks,
Bilal

Setting my Lync to Do Not Disturb all the time is not an option. I want pop-ups permanently disabled regardless of my status. This was an option on Communicator. What reason did Microsoft have for removing it? Please restore it.
