Easy Transfer Wizard Error: There isn't enough disk space available to transfer your files and settings.
I have this problem on Windows XP. I have 8 GB of data in the .DAT files and 53 GB of free space on my C: drive. I've read the other posts and I think I may be dealing with the fact that the wizard is trying to copy files to another partition because there is 2GB of capacity missing from my C: drive. However when I go into disk management, the only partition listed is the one (C:). So deleting partitions and re-installing Windows does not seem to be an option. How can I get my files and settings transfered to my new computer? Please help!

Have you tried using the Windows Easy Transfer wizard to backup your personal files and settings to an external hard disk as a .MIG file? You can then launch the Windows Easy Transfer wizard on the new computer and restore the .MIG file on Windows 7.Please note, you must install Windows Easy Transfer on Windows XP to do this.http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/13/winxp-to-win7/Teching It Easy: With Windows |ActiveWin |Notebooks | Microsoft MVP
