EFS Encryption Certificate Corrupted
I have a situation where a user has lost the ability to open his EFS encrypted files. It appears that the encryption certificate was corrupted. We do not know what actually caused the issue. Does anyone know of any way to open and EFS encrypted file when the user has lost permission to do so?

Hi, Does the user have Recovery Agent defined? if not, the default Recovery Agent is the built-in administrator account, please try to decrypt the file under administrator context. Also, before doing this, you need to make sure the recovery certificate is existing.
