E-mail address not verified
How do I get MS to send me the message from:"Passport Member Services"so I can verify my e-mail address? I stumbled around for 10 minutes online and finally found a link requesting they send the message. The link reported back that the message was sent but I never got it (not in the spam folder either). Now for the life of me I can't find that link again.Thanks.Greg Maxey --- Visit my website at: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm1 person needs an answerI do too

Jack,Yes I saw that and I have since relocated the link requesting a verification e-mail. Again the link reported a message was sent, but I have yet to receive either the first or the second. Maybe the system is just broke or "sent" doesn't really mean sent but "we will send one later." Thanks.Greg Maxey --- Visit my website at: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm

HiDid you give an alternative email? For purpose like this it is preferable to have an account with a main stream Web Mail.Web Mail account using the browser is less liable to lose something since it not dependent on ISP issues with email, or when using email application that might filter or redirect some email.I use one Web mail account just for this purpose. Not giving it as general email address, thus it kept clean and hardly get any spam or other junk.Jack-MVP Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET

Jack,There doesn't appear to be an option to have the message sent to an alternative address. The link displays the following:VerificationEmail removed for privacyTo use this e-mail address in Windows Live, you need to verify that it is your e-mail address. We'll send verification instructions to Email removed for privacy. Follow the instructions in the message to verify this e-mail address. Why do I need to verify my e-mail address? When I execute the link I get back:A verificaition e-mail has been sent to Email removed for privacyIf you don't see the e-mail message in your inbox, look for it in your junk mail folder or check your e-mail again later.Get help with thisOf couse the link displays my real email address but there is no option to have the verification instructions sent and alternative address.Thanks.Greg Maxey --- Visit my website at: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm

Jack,Thanks. It posted there last night as well with no response yet. There doesn't seem to be any information published anywhere on how to contact someone at Passport Member Services. I am not surprised :-(Greg Maxey --- Visit my website at: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htm
