Dual Monitor Question:
In Windows 7 OS, if a user has 2 monitors at work. When they open a Window of a Windows Explorer folder or an application or a dialogue box in the dual monitor set-up at work. That window they open remembers where it was when it was closed and goes back to that window it was closed in when it opens again. Then if the user takes a laptop that was connected to an external monitor at work home, to work from home. Then when they need to get a dialogue box or something at home with only one monitor now (built in screen that came with laptop) it's not connected to external monitor and it is trying to open on the monitor that is not physically there at home. Lately, I have asked users to either hook the laptop to a LCD TV with a VGA at home, to immitate the work environment or just close dialogue boxes on the laptop screen. My Question is, can Windows 8 fix this issue before they release it ? Just don't make Windows OS remember where things open so good. So if a user has 2 monitors at work and only uses the built in screen for the laptop to work from home, they don't have dialogue boxes and other windows that are opening off the laptop screen on a phantom non-existant dual monitor (because they are not connected to a 2nd monitor any more). Most people who work from home, here, just use one monitor at home and 2 monitors at work. The OS is by defualt not user friendly in this senario. This instance isn't unique, but probably common and might be easy to fix.
