Dual-Boot
I am currently running windows xp home edition with service pack 3 installed and windows 7 ultimate on seperate disks. Both operating systems are 32-bit. My win 7 os boots and runs fine. My xp gives me as blue screen and will not boot at all. I have tried safe mode and i still get the bsod. The only install disk i have is the windows xp with no service packs. it was installd after the fact. When i try to repair with disk i can't access the drive. I don't have a password on either os and can't get in either one. What am i doing wrong? Can i fix the xp disk from inside the 7 os? I have all current drivers in both operating systems and anti-virus so that should not be an issue. My Computer Specs are as follows,Asus P5K-E WiFi Edition moboE6300 Intel proc74GB WD Raptor disk drive170GD WD disk drivePioneer DVR-D112 optical driveLite-On CD-R optical driveSB Audigy sound cardGeForce 9800 GT video cardPlease help I have programs i need to uninstall to deauthorize or i can not use them again.

Can you let us know when the BSOD issue began to happen? Please let us know the detail of the crushed message.Do you set the RAID in your Windows 7 OS? If your changed your hard drive to dynamic in Disk Manager Windwos 7, your can only have one system, and the XP system won't be able to start any longer. If your hard drive is not dynamic, to save your time, it's better to move your important files in XP to another partition first, then reinstall the Windows XP with your XP disc, at last rebuild the Boot Configuration Database (BCD) store in your Windows 7 WinRE Environment to get the dual boot entry. You can refer to the KB927392.I hope this can help you.John
