Hi Peter, I'm just in the process of rebuilding my VM that has multiple drives, so I can't help with the logical drive question, but i am curious about the drive usage information question. Comparing the disk management consoles in Windows 7 and Windows Vista I'm seeing the same information presented, so I was wondering if you can elaborate a little for me. Just had a play with the disk management and the option to create extended and logical partitions does not appear to be available in the console, but it is available from the command prompt using the diskpart tool. The basic process to do this would be something like this Diskpartlist diskselect disk 1create part extendedcreate part logicalassign letter you would then need to format the partition as per normal. hth Gordon www.longneckconsulting.com
