Downsizing from SBS2003 to peer2peer for Vista & XP
My client's business has shrunk in size to the point where some applications and the SBS2003 network is no longer required. The SBS server doesnot handle email (now individual POP), internet security (now router), and network drives are not used. So what is intended, is for the users to login into their Vista Pro and XP desktops (local password authentication) and retain settings, desktop and outlook mail. Printers are locally installed anyway. Question is, does anyone know of the sequence (if it exists) to remove any ties that the desktops have with the server without creating new users on each machine and painless if possible. Thanks in advance, JohnW
