To manually download Windows updates, you need to use the Windows Catalog as follows:1. Change Windows Update from ‘Automatic’ to ‘Inform me of updates’ to prevent them from downloading.2. Go to http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx Type the KB number(s) into the search box then pick a location to save them to. The first time you access the site you may be asked to install an ActiveX component, which is perfectly normal.

Where can I find these files???Unless an installed application or program requires .NET Framework 4 in order for it to run, there is no need to install .NET Framework 4. If an app or program needs it installed, then strongly suggest that you download, save , and then manually install it using the standalone installer:Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (Standalone Installer)All Microsoft Security Essentials definition updates can be manually downloaded, saved , and then manually installed from the Microsoft Security Portal's latest definitions page . Be sure to download the definitions that match the system's architecture. eg. if the system is 32 bit, download the 32 bit definitions. If the system is 64 bit, download the 64 bit definitions.MowGreen Update Services - Consumer Security
