Download question
I have downloaded the RC1 file twice and it arrives as a zip file I have tried to unzip it expecting an ISO but it gives me the following error ......Extracting efi\microsoft\boot\fonts\chs_boot.ttf Unable to create file..... I also tried to launch the zip file using the install drop down from inside of winzip but still get the same error as I look into the folders that were unzipped, I see no ISO or even any set up files I am using the 32 bit version and have it saved to an external drive Anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks Daz

I have downloaded the 64bit and 32bit files and they are both iso files :-7100.0.090421-1700_x86fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culfrer_en_dvd.iso is the 32bit file (2.47Gb)and 7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.iso is the 64bit version which is 3.04Gb in size.Sorry I cannot offer any helpful suggestions.

Do you have file extensions hidden? The downloads from Microsoft are ISO files (end in .iso). Winzip will try to recognize these, but unless you have version 12 of winzip it cannot do anything with them. However 7-zip (free) will open them. I have XP 32 bit and extracted the 32bit windows 7 onto the desktop and ran setup, which worked fine for me. However the 64bit version will not run from within a 32bit windows, so that one will have to be burned to a DVD for me to use.

Daz - The expected thing to do would be to take the ISO and burn it to a DVD and then install it.
